The two main works I have produced for the web are my garden journal and an online novel Black Annis and King Richard's Bed"

I have been putting up monthly installments of the garden journal since 1999 so it has grown into a rather bulky work. Last year I worked with other people to produce a collaborative plant and garden project, which I intended to be a more literary than horticultural project. This has brought in contributors from many parts of the world. This year I may hive this project off into its own website. At present readers reach it from my garden journal.

The online novel is centred round the combination of a Leicestershire legend and a true piece of Leicestershire history. The legend tells of a spirit of pure evil who inhabited a small cave in a forest that has now been covered over by a suburban housing estate. The true story concerns the bed that King Richard left in a Leicester Inn before the Battle of Bosworth. Thanks to the web I have been able to set the story in a contemporary environmental matrix. In both works the images are as important as the text. In the novel sound too plays a major part
