Elkhorn
John from Western Australia sent this picture of his Elkhorn Fern -Platycerium. John writes :
"It is a parasite and only grows when fastened to a tree or a piece of wood. We have had it for 29 years."
 
In a mild winter Euonymus "Silver Queen" livens up the winter garden but if the cold spell is prolonged the colour tends to mutate to a muddy purple just when one needs it most.
