Memento Mori
Nothing jolts one into dwelling on the ephemeral nature of life more than the world wide web.Since I first coded in this story six years ago, several links to websites that contained matters pertinent to this story have broken.
One notable loss is the work of Max Matthews. However I am pleased to say that it is not really lost but has migrated to cd rom and can now be bought from Heart of Albion.
A much sadder loss is the site created by Canadian Tim Airey for British expats, which presented a wonderful mix of historical, artistic, literary and other unique facts about Leicester and Leicestershire". Since he died in 2006 the domain name has been taken over by a run of the mill commercial site.
